Payment, design & refund terms

Version 2026-10-06 · AIRBALLOOON, New York City

Pre-launch policy draft: These terms require legal and tax review before live payments open.

Your five stages

  1. Initial consultation

Pay US$100 to begin. It is refundable until you accept the first draft and proceed to refinement, and is credited toward your product.

  2. First draft

Our team develops your first draft. Review the concept and the written total price before deciding to proceed.

  3. Design refinement

Accept the first draft and top up to 50% of the full price, including your US$100 credit. The entire 50% deposit then becomes non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

  4. Final approval & balance

Approve the final design and pay the remaining 50%, not the full price again. This payment is non-refundable, subject to applicable law.

  5. Production & delivery

After full payment, your approved piece enters production and delivery. Follow atelier updates here; carrier tracking will be added later.

One total, three payments

All prices and payments are in US dollars. The written project quote displayed in your account is the total payable for the agreed project, including any applicable tax and delivery charges. The atelier must confirm that total before requesting the 50% deposit. There are no automatic recurring charges.

The initial $100 is a credit, not an extra fee. For a $2,000 total, you pay $100 initially, $900 to bring payments to 50%, then the remaining $1,000 after final design approval. If rounding is needed, the deposit rounds up to the nearest cent and the final balance is the exact amount still owed.

Initial $100 refund

You may request a full refund of the initial $100 before you accept the first draft and proceed to refinement. Receiving or viewing the first draft alone does not remove this option. Use “Request my $100 refund” on your Oeuvra project in My Account. A request pauses further payments for that project and is reviewed by the atelier. A request is not confirmation that a refund has already been sent.

Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method, without a deduction from the initial $100. Keep your account project reference and payment receipt as proof of payment. Your bank or payment provider determines when a processed refund appears.

When payments become non-refundable

When you explicitly accept the first draft and proceed by completing the deposit top-up, the full 50% deposit—including the original $100—becomes non-refundable for a change of mind or customer cancellation. The remaining balance paid after final design approval is also non-refundable for those reasons. These provisions do not exclude refunds or remedies required by applicable law, including rights relating to defective goods, misrepresentation or non-performance.

Design approval and changes

Before each design payment, review the written quote and design reference shown in your account and the materials supplied by the atelier. Your approval and payment terms version are recorded. Do not approve if any detail is unclear. Production begins only after final approval and confirmed full payment. Changes to the agreed scope, price or approved design require a new written agreement; they are not automatically authorized by these terms.

Production, delivery and communication

Dates shown in your account are estimates unless specifically agreed otherwise in writing. The atelier will provide project updates, including relevant delays. Delivery status is maintained by the atelier until carrier tracking is connected. No guaranteed delivery date or unlimited number of revisions is implied by these terms.

Questions and copies

Use your project’s established atelier correspondence for questions about design, payment or cancellation. A written copy of this policy is available on request; you may also print or save this page. Do not make a payment until your questions are resolved. Applicable consumer protections remain in effect.
